11 Nov. 2020 - Today is a great day, indeed! The girls mingled with their new friends in YKSHS despite being at their respective homes.

Yonezawa Kojokan Senior High School (YKSHS) initially planned to visit Sekolah Tun Fatimah on March 5th 2020. Mr. Takeya Kobayashi and his colleague had even visited our school to discuss about the input of the programme in December 2019. However, due to the covid-19 outbreak which hit Japan at that time and for the safety of the students and teachers, the trip had to be cancelled.

We even received a letter from Ms. Kakizaki Etsuko, the Principal of Yonezawa Kojokan Senior High School expressing her gratitude, explaining the situation which led to the cancellation of the trip and her hope that future collaboration between YKSHS and STF will be realized.
In July 2020, we received an offer from YKSHS to bring closer the thousands kilometers away through online collaboration through an email from Ms. Michiyo Ichinoyawatari, an English Teacher in YKSHS. More interactions were then resumed through Mr. Nasuhiko Yamaguchi from Sun Plus Tour's. The online exchange students programme will be carried out 4 times – twice in 2020 and the remaining in 2021 involving 24 YKSHS students and 30 STF students.

We hope that this collaboration will benefit both parties. We would like to thank Bonda Dr. Norisah for making time to be with us during the Opening Ceremony despite her busy schedule today. “Thank you, Bonda”. We’ll absolutely share
